Somerset Maugham, Penelope Fitzgerald, Muriel Spark and Elizabeth Taylor. Which is why few American indies, never mind Borders or Barnes & Noble, ever measured up to the Kinokuniya stores in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Sydney....
